11.06.2010 Munich, June 8, 2010: AUTOMATICA, the international trade fair for automation and mechatronics opened its doors again - and we were there. From June 8th to 11th, the New Munich Trade Fair Centre was the venue for future technologies and sensational innovations, where exhibitors from all over the world presented their know-how. M&R Automation was there and showed its visitors with no doubt that it is one of the world's leading suppliers of custom manufacturing and testing facilities. In Hall A1 Booth 516 our dedicated and knowledgeable sales team showcased high-quality and cost effective solutions in the field of industrial automation. A special highlight and centerpiece of our booth was our dynamic backlash measuring machine for both rear and front differentials. In the field of dynamic backlash measurement, M&R Automation is a global market and technology leader and this machine is part of our extensive series of Powertrain Production Systems (PPS) modules. We operated the machine in our booth in front of an interested audience that was able to get up close enough to understand its operation and to observe its precision. This machine enables our customers to determine which shims are required to build the differential and to measure the dynamic backlash of the assembled differential. The machine also allows its user to evaluate the quality of the gear teeth in an assembled differential state; this evaluation allows our customers to characterise any noise from the differential. These functions make it possible for our customers to enhance the quality of assembly and thus significantly reduce production costs.
