• Complex assembly processes with many (often small) components, accompa-nied by very high levels of production output
• Implementing the most diverse range of assembly processes, including adhe-sion, ultrasonic welding, laser welding, soldering, stamping, marking out, hot foil stamping, bending, winding and punching, amongst many other options
• A sparing treatment of the parts to be assembled. As the final products often have to correspond to exacting hygiene standards (e.g. shavers, depilators and toothbrushes), no traces from the assembly, or even the smallest particle of dirt, can be allowed to get onto the parts.

In the assembly equipment for workstations, provision is usually made for testing and monitoring workstations: these additionally monitor the assembly process. Here the following testing procedures are used:

• Mechanical tests
• Mechanical measurement processes (lengths, coefficient of friction, angle of ro-tation)
• Electrical measurement processes (resistance, current consumption, reaction time...)
• Other processes of measurement and testing (such as leakage test, noise mea-surement, functional test)
